"And nobody jumped out of the cake naked"
During the night of the 19th to the 20th of June 2010 occurred the performance SOON THIRTY.
This intervention had interrupted during 15 minutes the party organised in Lisbon bar "Liverpool", witch had for thematic "the future is already past, good bye", in order to celebrate performer Yann Gibert's birthday.
At 2h15 AM, Isabel Simões crossed the dancefloor heading to Yann Gibert holding a birthday cake in her hands with 29 lighten up candles on it. At that moment the dance music witch was playing since 2 hours disappeared and started a low volume soundtrack mainly composed of fireworks explosions.

Yann Gibert, who was holding in a hand a bottle of Champaign since some minutes already, was standing still, very moved, waiting for the ending of the song "happy birthday" that the people of the bar had instinctively started to sing, to blow the candles and open the bottle.
After that scene had started a distribution of Champaign and chocolate/strawberry birthday cake slices, during witch Yann Gibert told the story of something that hapenned during his 14th birthday: the story of his first kiss.
Present people found themselves divided in between choosing to listen to the story, chatting with other present friends, congratulating the birthday boy... when the story finished the soundtrack disappeared and the dance music went back ("From Disco to Disco" by Whirlpool Production).

The performance opened an in between zone where the friend was staging his real life and the real life was feeding the performance.
The story told by Yann Gibert was permanently interrupted by he audience (among them many friends of his) who barely understood that a performance was happening. Their requests were about their wish to give a kiss to the friend birthday boy, their wish to have more cake, to have more Champaign...
A relationship based on mutual interruptions go established into an event interrupted by the performance itself.
The performance was questioning the space of fictionalisation in a nocturne social place. From that problematic emerged the manifestation of the performer's personal reality taking the shape of a party inside a party, celebrating a birthday (the one of his first kiss) in a birthday (the one of his birth). The intimate happening becam a pretext to a social gathering, such like the party or the artistic event.
